THINKING OF WRITING AN ARTICLE, or sending a photo or work of art?

Inspiring articles, poetry, photos and original art are all welcome. At this time, articles are accepted only from the regular advertisers, or special event advertisers, that we promote, and also from others who do not receive income from holistic health/lifestyle activities in the Central PA area. Unlike some other publications, we don’t charge for articles, and we don’t print unlabeled advertorials that look like articles, either.

ARTICLE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

• The article must be educational in nature, not advertisement for your practice or business. Of course you will reap advertising benefit by the simple inclusion of your name and business or practice. We cannot print articles about your product.
• Articles should be 1100 words (about a page and a half) or less. MS Word software provides a word count feature.
• Articles must come on disk, floppy or cd, or through email. We prefer Ariel font in size 10. 
• There should be no formatting, like tabs, indents, etc. (Pleeeeeze take them out!) Simply place an extra space after your paragraphs.
• Expect that articles will be edited for clarity, size, etc.. If you want to discuss an idea for an article, please contact us. We cannot guarantee that all articles will be published. Articles are due on the fifteenth of the month, two months before publication.

ART SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

• Photos must be high resolution (preferably 300 dpi digital). Send your high-contrast seasonal photos with a short explanation about the photo and your bio and contact information. Please do not send prints unless requested.
• Inspiring art is welcome! Please send your high resolution file (300 dpi, cmyk tif files are preferable) by cd or email, accompanied by an explanation about the art and your short bio and contact information.

HOLISTIC LIFESTYLE TOPIC AREAS INCLUDE:

Healthy Children, Nutrition, Alternative Medicine, Complementary Therapies, Healthy Environment, Holistic Travel, Sustainable Lifestyle, Organic Gardening, Short Subjects. Advertisers: Send your news, your triumphs, your office changes, and so on.
